When I'm free at home, I like to not waste time and try to create something fun so the day don't get boring. As you can see from my new blog header today, I did my first custom rips on one of my denim from a tutorial online and along the way I also found my way to do it so here's my version of guides to customizing your own denim!

1.Pick a denim you don't mind customizing, because you never know that you might do something wrong and destroy the whole pair of jeans.

2. Next, sketch on the design you would like on your jeans. Since it's your own id, you can personalize it with your favorite number or alphabet, in my case, I did my initial. Avoid doing impossible symbol such as the alphabet 'O'.

3. Next, find a spot (I recommend the bottom part where you fold up when you wear it) just to get a feeling to test what it's like. Use a pen knife and cut only one direction, you might not get the best result at first but along the way you should learn the right way.

4. Once you're confident enough, sketch the design and JUST CUT IT. Remember, One direction only, repeat it in your design area.

5. Get rid of the blue wool which look like the above gently, do not tear by force.

6. Once you're done it shall look a little something like this.^(Not completely)

7. Next if you like to have more rips on different part.
In my way I put on the denim then sketch the desired designs.

8.Like this.

9. Then, do a final touch up once you're happy with all the rips. Take the pen knife and cut through the same direction gently again, get rid of the blue wool, then rub it repeatedly with your hand like above, it will result with a better 'crush' effects.

10. All done. Clean up and ready to rock your new pair of old jeans!
